The First Gospel Sticker

The First Gospel:

Before Paul and Silas, before the curcifixion, before David and Goliath, before Noah and the ark, before the tabernacle and wilderness wanderings, before Christianity, before Judiasm - 

The Gospel was announced in the first book of the bible.

God the Father said in Genesis,

"And I will put enmity (open hostility) Between you and the woman, And between your seed (offspring) and her Seed; 

He shall [fatally] bruise your head, And you shall [only] bruise His heel. - Amplified

Who could have known what Genesis 3:15 meant at that time? Throughout the ages, Hebrews kept this scripture and passed it from generation to generation - thousands of years. Through wars and wanderings, through slavery and strife, the coming of a savior, Messiah, is central to the Hebrew belief in God. God is JUST and GOOD and will save people from all strife, end suffering, and rule in PEACE.

When Satan was tempting Christ in the wilderness, he asked Jesus to test the love of God for his son by jumping from a height. Satan quoted Psalm 91 verses 11 and 12

11 For he will command his sangels concerning you

to tguard you in all your ways.

12 On their hands they will bear you up,

lest you ustrike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread on the lion and the wadder;

the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

This is the promise. This is what all of creation longs for - the end of enmity. The one born of a virgin, crucified, raised, and ascended is the same one spoken of in Genesis 3 and the same one in Genesis 1:1. It is Christ's heel crushing the head of our enemy. It is Christ's hands that reach to pull us up.
